Document Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how RecouplyAI Inc., owner and operator of LeagueIQ.ai ("LeagueIQ," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you use the Service.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to LeagueIQ websites, applications, Aaron AI features, commissioner tools, integrations, uploads, support interactions, and related services. It does not apply to third-party sites or services that publish their own privacy notices, including fantasy platforms, social networks, payment processors, or linked news sources.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and profile information
We may collect your name, email address, username, password hash, authentication identifiers, profile image, age confirmation, communication preferences, and account settings.
2.2 League and fantasy information
Depending on the features you use, we may collect or receive league names, team names, rostered players, draft selections, lineups, waiver activity, transactions, standings, matchups, scoring settings, league identifiers, commissioner status, member roles, event responses, polls, and other league configuration data.
2.3 Connected-account information
When you connect Yahoo Fantasy Sports or another supported service, we may receive tokens, platform account identifiers, authorized league data, and other information permitted by the authorization you grant. We use access tokens to provide the connection and do not ask you to provide third-party passwords directly.
2.4 Uploads and OCR data
We may collect screenshots, roster images, files, text, and metadata you upload. OCR and AI systems may extract player names, team names, league settings, and other visible text. You should crop or remove unrelated information before uploading.
2.5 Aaron prompts and outputs
We may process questions, prompts, feedback, generated answers, source interactions, ratings, and related context. When personalization is enabled, Aaron may use your roster, league settings, prior requests, and selected preferences to provide more relevant analysis.
2.6 Payment and transaction information
Our payment processor may collect card details, billing address, and fraud-prevention data. We generally receive transaction identifiers, payment status, plan, amount, tax information, and limited card metadata such as brand and last four digits. We do not directly store full payment-card numbers.
2.7 Device, network, and usage information
We may collect IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, app version, language, referring pages, pages viewed, clicks, feature use, session timing, crash logs, approximate location inferred from IP, cookie identifiers, and security events.
2.8 Communications and support
We collect messages you send to us, support requests, attachments, survey responses, and records of our communications.
2.9 Public and licensed football information
LeagueIQ may collect or process publicly available and licensed football-related information, such as NFL and team announcements, practice reports, coach interviews, media coverage, public social posts, injury reports, and statistical data. This information usually concerns public figures and sports activity rather than LeagueIQ users.
3. Sources of Information
We collect information:
- directly from you;
- from commissioners or league members who invite you or add league information;
- from connected fantasy platforms and authentication providers;
- from payment processors and service providers;
- automatically from your device and use of the Service;
- from public football, team, media, and social sources; and
- from partners or licensors that provide data or infrastructure.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- create, authenticate, and secure accounts;
- provide commissioner and league-management tools;
- connect, refresh, cache, and display authorized fantasy data;
- process screenshots and roster uploads;
- personalize Aaron answers, rankings, alerts, and daily summaries;
- retrieve, rank, summarize, and cite football-related sources;
- process season-pass purchases and additional-league fees;
- send invitations, account notices, notifications, and requested communications;
- provide support and troubleshoot issues;
- prevent fraud, abuse, scraping, account takeover, and security incidents;
- measure performance and improve product functionality;
- enforce our Terms and policies;
- comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where required by law, we rely on consent. In other cases, we process information to perform a contract, comply with law, or pursue legitimate interests such as providing, securing, and improving the Service.
5. AI Processing and Model Improvement
LeagueIQ may use AI service providers to process prompts, roster context, uploads, and relevant source material to generate requested features. We contractually limit providers' use of data where reasonably available and configure services to reduce unnecessary retention.
LeagueIQ does not use private roster data, connected-account data, or private User Content to train a general-purpose model for unrelated customers without affirmative permission. We may use de-identified, aggregated, or limited interaction data to evaluate quality, detect abuse, improve prompts, test retrieval, and improve LeagueIQ-specific systems.
AI systems may infer interests, player preferences, or likely roster needs from your activity. These inferences are used to personalize fantasy-football functionality and are not intended to make decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance, healthcare, education, or other legally significant matters.
6. How We Disclose Information
6.1 Service providers
Cloud hosting, database, authentication, AI, OCR, analytics, communications, customer-support, security, payment, and professional-service providers that process information for us.
6.2 Connected services
Fantasy platforms, calendar providers, authentication providers, or other services you choose to connect, as needed to complete your request.
6.3 League participants
Commissioners and league members may see information associated with their shared league workspace, such as display name, team, role, RSVP, poll response, or other information you choose to share. Private Aaron prompts are not shared with league members unless a feature clearly lets you publish or share them.
6.4 Legal, safety, and rights protection
Government authorities, law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, the public, or the Service.
6.5 Business transfers
Potential or actual acquirers, investors, lenders, advisers, or successor entities in connection with financing, diligence, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
6.6 With your direction or consent
Other parties when you ask us to share information or consent to the disclosure.
7. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
LeagueIQ does not sell personal information for money. LeagueIQ does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices, including recognition of applicable opt-out preference signals.
We may disclose information to service providers for analytics, security, communications, and product operations. Such disclosures are not intended as sales.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, performance, and communications. See the Cookie Policy for more detail and available controls.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account continuity across seasons, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements.
Retention varies by data type. For example:
- account records may remain while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward;
- connected fantasy data may be refreshed daily during the season and retained between seasons to preserve history and personalization;
- access tokens are retained while an integration is connected or as needed to complete revocation and security processes;
- uploaded screenshots may be deleted or converted into structured roster data after processing, depending on feature configuration;
- billing records may be retained for tax, audit, chargeback, and accounting requirements;
- security logs may be retained to detect recurring abuse; and
- support and legal records may be retained for the duration of the issue and applicable limitation periods.
You may request deletion as described below. We may retain information where required by law or where an exception applies, and may retain de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked back to you.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit, provider security review, logging, backups, and incident-response procedures. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, altered, or lost.
You are responsible for using a strong password, protecting authentication methods, reviewing connected applications, and promptly reporting suspected compromise.
11. Your Choices
Depending on the feature, you may:
- update account and profile information;
- disconnect fantasy-platform integrations;
- correct OCR-extracted roster data;
- manage marketing and notification preferences;
- control cookies through browser or in-product settings;
- delete particular uploads or league data where available;
- leave a league workspace; and
- request access, correction, or deletion by contacting privacy@leagueiq.ai.
Disconnecting an integration stops future refreshes but may not immediately delete previously imported data. You may separately request deletion.
12. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about our processing, and to appeal a denied request. Some states also provide rights to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. LeagueIQ does not currently sell personal information or use it for legally significant automated decisions.
To exercise a right, email privacy@leagueiq.ai with the subject "Privacy Request." We may verify your identity and authority. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law, but we may require evidence of authorization and direct identity confirmation.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
13. California Notice at Collection
In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information under California law:
- identifiers, such as name, email, account ID, IP address, and device identifiers;
- customer records, such as billing and subscription information;
- commercial information, such as purchases and plan history;
- internet or electronic activity, such as pages, features, and interactions;
- approximate geolocation derived from IP address;
- audio, electronic, visual, or similar information, such as uploaded screenshots;
- professional or employment information only if voluntarily included in a support request or profile;
- inferences, such as fantasy preferences and likely roster needs; and
- sensitive personal information only if incidentally provided, such as account credentials or precise data you should not upload. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer protected characteristics.
We collect and disclose these categories for the business purposes described in Sections 4 and 6. We do not sell or share these categories for cross-context behavioral advertising. We retain them as described in Section 9.
California residents may request to know, access, correct, or delete personal information and may obtain information about categories collected, sources, purposes, and disclosures. Where applicable, you may submit requests at privacy@leagueiq.ai. We will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals if our practices become subject to that requirement.
14. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact privacy@leagueiq.ai.
Users between 13 and the age of majority must have permission and supervision from a parent or guardian. Commissioners should not invite children under 13 or upload their personal information.
15. International Users
LeagueIQ is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations where providers operate.
Where applicable, individuals in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, or receive a portable copy of personal data, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to a local supervisory authority. Contact privacy@leagueiq.ai to exercise a right.
16. Third-Party Links and Sources
The Service may link to news articles, social posts, team sites, fantasy platforms, and other third-party sources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy or security practices.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice where required for material changes.
